From a Big House to The Big House?? Lauryn Hill Gets Evicted and Faces Tax Fraud Charges

Oh No! Not Lauryn, the Grammy-Award winning R&B legend we all loved in the 90's ???

As heart-breaking as it is to report this story, I have to keep our peeps hip to the dish...



According to TMZ, Lauryn is being sued and evicted from her South Orange, New Jersey mansion she's been renting since 2009. Things took a drastic turn when she failed to pay rent last month, therefore her landlord rushed to the courts to file a legal ultimatum for Hill to either pay up or get to packing.

Unfortunately, Lauryn has yet to pay and the eviction process continues in full steam.

In further news, the R&B legend will be sentenced next week for tax fraud as she plead guilty and now faces some Fed time. Maybe this is why she said to hell with paying rent. Hmmm!

It's really sad to see this happening to someone who has been such a genius impact to our music culture and as ill-fated as the situation is, I guess this should be a lesson to other celebs planning to skip out on paying back those taxes! It comes back to bite them everytime.
