Lights, Camera, Nicki ! Nicki Minaj Stars In New Cameron Diaz Movie

Super-Rapstar Nicki Minaj hits the silver screen staring in the new movie The Other Women. Directed by Nick Cassavete (John Q, Alpha Dog), the YMCMB Queen is set to join the cast as this will be her FIRST live action feature film role. (Whoop Whoop!)

With the movie centered around Cameron Diaz, in which she depicts the unsuspected mistress of a married man, she decides to join forces with the wife and the two team up to seek revenge on the unfaithful husband. The gorgeous Kate Upton (Tower Heist, Three Stooges) also stars in the film as another side chick taking part in the vengeance scheme, as our Nicki plays the role of Cameron's assistant.

Nicki publicized her past in performing and theater where she began in plays back in elementary school, in addition to participating in a drama program at the famous Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music and Performing Arts.



As a sure a thing, we are all expecting the DYNAMIC rap star Nicki to blow us away with her acting skills! However, she did do a great job as a voice-over for the animated picture Ice Age: Continental Draft.
Although she still has not began recording for her third album yet, Minaj has no intent on fully leaving the music world:

“I’m getting beats as we speak, I just haven’t started writing as of yet, but [the music's] my biggest priority obviously.”

With MUCH anticipation for this new movie, the production is set to kick off next month in NYC !

[Interview] Awkward Moment! Ashanti Interviews Ex-Boyfriend Nelly!

As a new venture, Ashanti is now a new host for "FUSE News" and WHAT A CO-INKY DINK she lands her first major interview with ex-boyfriend Nelly!

Surprisingly, the interview went smooth as the ex-couple discussed Nelly's career moves, Hip Hop in it's current state, and they also giggled over the topic of what Nelly looks for in a woman.

What may have been an awkawrd moment for most ex-couples, was definitely a cool breeze for these two. Nelly even mentioned the fact of liking a nice "pair of thighs" while looking directly at hers! Hmmm could there be some rekindling "love" after this interview? I sure hope so!

On the type of girl he likes and dealbreakers:
Bad breath is a dealbreaker.  I don't want someone who lacks the confidence in who they are. I think we would hit the wall. And a nice set of thighs always helps!

On the state of hip hop:
It's not my position to judge whether it's in a bad situation. Obviously hip hop is created for the youth by the youth, and it has to make the same mistakes we made.  I think it's on a braoder scale as far as globally.  It's the most dominating music around the world.

On how he's evolved since Country Grammar:
I've been through so much in my personal life, I'm just here to celebrate I ain't where I could be.  

On "Merry Go Round" with Chris Brown:
I was working with Da Internz and we called Chris up.  At this time, he needs to know who's riding with him or not.

"The Rain Man Is Back" Pharrell Talks JayZ New Album, Marriage, & Miley Cyrus

Pharrell has always been one of the more respected indidviduals of our music, so of course we are hype about what's been up with the Hip Hop genius.

In a recent interview with Hot 97's Angie Martinez, Skateboard P opens up about several topics of his life such as his clear skin regiments, maintaining a committed relationship, and of course what we are all looking forward to, his new music ventures.

Jay-Z, Kanye, and Kim K Kickin' It In SoHo!

 

Fresh off the plane from Paris Yeezy along with baby mama Kim K, reunite with JayZ this week in SoHo New York to do a little shopping and playing catch up.

 

Kim cleaned up her preggo style (as her tummy looks ready to burst!) with a simple black dress paired with some white hot Giuseppe sandals from the "Cruel Summer" collection designed by her baby daddy Kanye.

The trio dipped in and out of some of the high-end stores of the SoHo neighborhood, despite the rumors of there being some issue amongst their 'clique'. However there where no signs of Bey, mainly because the Queen is on her world tour. Then again, we all know the speculations of how she feels about "Auntie" Kim.

HOTTT! Ciara Gives Future Striptease in New "Body Party" Video

Get out those notepads ladies because Ciara is definitely giving some steamy erotica in her new video for "Body Party" directed by X.

In the video she attends a mansion party with cameos including Ludacris, Jazzy Pha, Joselyn Hernendez, Stevie J and Trinidad James and a few "big booty guls". The second end of the concept involves Future meeting up with Ciara
 mumbling his lines  by the pool where he daydreams a hot fantasy of Ci Ci giving him a strip tease (currently practicing).


The video is for sure an eye-popper, which also raises the question of how it slipped through the approval cracks over at BET. I mean they did BAN Ciara's "Ride" video about 3 years ago right??

Anywho! Ciara is definitely marking her territory of Future's "Body" as they turn up the heat in this video!

New Music: Janelle Monae feat. Erykah Badu 'Q.U.E.E.N.'

Janell Monae and Erykah Badu have joined forces to create a sassy funky-style female anthem entitled "Q.U.E.E.N."

According to Janelle, the track was inspired by a private discussion she and Erykah held recently. The song is an ode to a female artists' right to remain an individual and is defintiely bumping with some great impact! Not to mention, Janelle is spitting some heat at the end of track, who knew the tuxedo waering Kansas-City native beauty had bars??

"Q.U.E.E.N." is the new single off Janelle's up coming sophmore album The Electric Lady set to release this fall.

Wiz Khalifa and A$AP Rocky Launch "Under The Influence of Music" Tour

Wiz Kahlifa and A$AP Rocky have officially announced the launch of their "Under The Influence" tour this past weekend, solemnly during the weed holiday 4/20. However, the two will not be alone as they will be bringing on a squad of other artists to join the expedition across the nation. This squad includes B.O.B., Trinidad James, Joey Badass, Pro-Era, Checy Woods, Berner, and Smoke DZA.



The tour dates have now been released, kicking off in San Fran, CA July 17th. Check the rest of the dates below.

Biggie's Daughter T'yanna Wallace with Sharon Carpenter Revisting BIG's Old Stomping Grounds!

T'yanna Wallace was just a baby as we all may remember her in Biggie Smalls' "Juicy" video back in 94'. Now she a 19-year-old woman making paths in a life of her own while never forgetting her dad's legacy.

When Biggie's murder occured, T'yanna was just 3yrs old, but she and the rest of us relived the heart wrenching moment just recently when BIG's autopsy results were reported publically. The graphic details of his STILL unsolved murder, were released without prior warning to his family from the LAPD.

In an exclusive interview, Sharon Carpenter had the chance to talk with our Hip-Hop legend's eldest child, as this was in fact T'yanna's first in-depth interview since her father's passing. She let's Sharon in on the person she has become, as she takes the focus off of her father's catastrophic death and instead celebrates his life.

As a Penn State student and aspiring fashion designer, T'yanna shares where Biggie grew up in Bed Stuy, Brooklyn and unveils her wishes to make him proud. In doing so, she plans to open up her own boutique in New York with pieces inspired by her late great father, The Notorious BIG.

From a Big House to The Big House?? Lauryn Hill Gets Evicted and Faces Tax Fraud Charges

Oh No! Not Lauryn, the Grammy-Award winning R&B legend we all loved in the 90's ???

As heart-breaking as it is to report this story, I have to keep our peeps hip to the dish...



According to TMZ, Lauryn is being sued and evicted from her South Orange, New Jersey mansion she's been renting since 2009. Things took a drastic turn when she failed to pay rent last month, therefore her landlord rushed to the courts to file a legal ultimatum for Hill to either pay up or get to packing.

Unfortunately, Lauryn has yet to pay and the eviction process continues in full steam.

In further news, the R&B legend will be sentenced next week for tax fraud as she plead guilty and now faces some Fed time. Maybe this is why she said to hell with paying rent. Hmmm!

It's really sad to see this happening to someone who has been such a genius impact to our music culture and as ill-fated as the situation is, I guess this should be a lesson to other celebs planning to skip out on paying back those taxes! It comes back to bite them everytime.

Beyonce's BADDEST "Mrs. Carter Show" World Tour Costumes

Beyonce recently kicked off her "Mrs. Carter Show" World Tour this week in Serbia and the Queen gave a SUPERIOR performance. However, Bey wasn't the only thing putting on an outstanding performance, but also her fabulous costumes courtesy of the Italian Brand Emilio Pucci, Ralph & Russo Couture, Givenchy, and Vrettos Vrettakos!

With her bombshell legs on full display in a variety of sexy bodysuits, Bey's outfit influences derived from Janet Jackson and J.Lo.

The headline designer Peter Dundas (for Emilio Pucci) sketched some of Bey's most glamorous costumes for the tour and gives the title "Rock Goddess" :

Oh the Shade! Ciara Low Blows Rihanna: “She Needs Love and Affection”

Ciara and Rihanna beefing? Still?

According to a recent interview with Ciara, the princess of R&B threw some heavy shade at Rihanna:

“I think she's nuts right now like whatever's going on because for me it doesn't make any sense." "I don't have beef with anybody, but I'm not going to be disrespected either. I wish her well. I don't know what her problem is," she added. "She has a lot of good things going on with herself. A lot of good things I've always said I've been happy for her. I don't get it. I really don't, but I wish her well. I wish her positivity."

As an immediate response to Ci Ci’s meek diss, Rihanna replied yesterday via Instagram with this message:

Damn… That was really low considering the in and out friction going on with “Chrianna” (Chris Brown and Rihanna).

So let’s get to the juice of this twitter cat fight. Apparently the two (well really only Rihanna) never took a liking to each other again after their first spat back in 2011 when Ciara guest-hosted E! Fashion Police with Joan Rivers, where Joan takes a dig a Rih Rih for what she wore to the 2011 Brit Awards. Following Joan’s “rip”, Ciara shares her first meet and greet experience with Rihanna:

“She wasn’t the nicest,” said Ciara. “It’s crazy because I’ve always loved and respected what she’s done with fashion. And I’ve ran into her before. But this time it was just really… it wasn’t the… most pleasant run-in, so…”

See now, Ciara didn’t have to mention all of that if she has so much so-called “respect” for the gyal. However, Ci Ci and Rih Rih supposedly made up via twitter after this first twitter beef:




The bitch-spat seems a bit petty as far as how LONG it’s gone on, but evidently "That Rihanna Reign Just Won't Let Up" as the beef continues with Rih Rih and her crew  throwing some shade of their own towards Ciara via social media, allegedly in response to Ciara and Future being a couple.

Sheesh! This ish is some ol’ high school “mean girl” drama don’t you think?

But let me get my 2 cents in by saying if it ever goes down, I got my money on Rih Rih!
