[PERFORMANCE RECAP] 2013 Billboard Music Awards

Last night ABC presented the 2013 Billboard Music Awards live from the MGM Grand in Vegas hosted by comedian Tracy Morgan!

Let's jump into the performances while most of them had some type of "futuristic-space" theme.
The opening performance came from the talented Bruno Mars with  "Treasure You". With him and his band dressed in all red tux's, the performance come off great with a lot of flashy lights and gold disco balls giving that Micheal Jackson "Rock With You" theme. Bruno even had his hair combed out in that curly short box fro just like the brown skin Micheal did. Selena Gomez performed her breakout song "Come and Get It" and unlike the title of that song,she stayed true to her youthful image dressed in costume as a golden baby goddess with barefeet.



The newest pop sensation Icona Pop performed the upbeat girl anthem "I love it".

Then all of a sudden Chris Brown is presented and it appears that everything else is in attendance but his voice. Breezy performed "Fine China" with a voice so squeaky and broken, ABC was dead wrong for not cueing to commercial. However, he killed his dance moves but you would think after that singing he'd better!

The cutie Hayden Panettierre introduced the Seattle based rapper Macklemore as he performed his hit song "Thrift Shop" dressed in one of his famous crazy themed coats. Taylor Swift debuted and performed her new single "22" which was probably one of my favorite performances for the night ONLY because she Beefed it up! (LOL)


Now we all know this show had been presented live, so let's get into Miguel's performance. The sexy soulful sounds of Miguel crooned through the televsion and his performance is going great. Then suddenly he attempts this "mosh-pit" leap and lands dead balls first onto this poor girls head! The girl disappears, then there's this random lady who I assumed to be the poor girl's mother because she gave Miguel a look like she wanted to pull his permed hair right out of his skull. But then he puts his arm around her and proceeds to finish his failed performance. By the end of his performance. I had totally forgotten about Chris Brown and that crying cat he brought on stage.



Ed Sheeran (who many did not seem to know according to twitter) performed one of my favorite songs "Love You Better". Don't sleep, this song is a HEAVY rotator in my playlist.

Moving on to J.Lo's HOT & SPICY performance with Pitbull. Jenny showed out in a glitzy red leotard suit with flamboyant fuex fur red sleeves and thigh high red boots to match. Oh yes, she still rocked a nice "bum" that she DEFINITELY twerked!

Nicki Minaj rocked a gold spiked cropped jacket in her performance with Lil Wayne for single "High School". However, her bodacious booty pads stole the performance as she blessed Wayne with yet another lapdance. Twerk!

Last and MOST DEFINITELY not least, the Icon himself Prince gave a musically royal performance for "Let's Go Crazy"  in a lime green jump suit and a leather fringed sleeve jacket (Only Prince chile). The Music Powerhouse lit up the stage and received a standing ovation before receiving the Icon Award, presented by Erykah Badu and Jonelle Monae.

Overall, the 2013 Billboard Music Awards turned into one BIG MUSIC FEST! Now my arm aches from all that fist pumping...
