Eve Gets Sexy and Stylish For RollingOut Magazine

Eve covers the June 2013 issue of Rolling Out magazine where she talks interracial dating, Nicki Minaj, and her new music and her outfits are BANGING with edge and feist!
After conquering her own lane in the rap industry, Eve took an 11 year hiatus but now the Philly native is back full force and full of confidence!

The self-proclaimed "pitbull in a skirt" has tamed her image since her Ruff Ryder days but is nonetheless the same fearless E-V-E we loved 13 years ago. Gracing the cover of next months Rolling Out mag, Eve rocks an 8-foot-long, 60 pound Boa Constrictor as if it were diamonds and pearls, representing her strength, power, and rebirth according to photographer Dewayne Rogers.

With 13 years under her chain belt, Eve is now at her latest challenge reconnecting with her fan base, coming back with the well anticipated album LipLock (which hit the stores May 14th).



In the magazine Eve speaks on interracial dating as she is currently involved outside of her race with U.K. racer and entrepreneur Max Cooper. She even speaks on her previous relationship with reality TV star Stevie J.

“I never thought I would date outside of my race,” Eve admits. “I never thought it would seriously be something that I considered because of where we come from. Interracial dating is still not as prevalent in our community. But when I met him, it was something that was so familiar. We recognize each other in a deeper way. If somebody is treating me the way I’m supposed to be treated, who cares what race he happens to be?..."

This article was an AWESOME read as she caught up on her life the past 11years and tells about her future endeavors. She also clarified her statement on how Nicki Minaj was not "her cup of tea" by the way. Could a female rap beef be brewing from her latest project LipLock ?? Hmmmm....

Blackstreet Members In Legal War Over Group Name Rights

The 90's R&B group are unforunately no longer smooth crooning out #1 hits, but instead they are fighting for the legalities of their group name "Blackstreet". The main heat comes between Chauncey Black, who is a founder of the group, and the other is of course Teddy Riley who is also a founding member of the group.

Sources say that Chauncey is completely angered with the way Riley has been doing business, as he claims Riley has been using the name illegally. Thing is, Riley's ownership expired and once this ownership expired, Chauncey Black snatched up those rights. However, Teddy continued to use the name without consent and now Chauncey is taking him to court for continuing to perform under the name.

Here's where it gets a little more scandalous. Teddy has been openly using the name with ANOTHER group posing as if THEY were Blackstreet!

Now that's just disrespectful dude.

In response, according to TMZ, Riley's rep says:

"At this time we have no comment on ANY of the ridiculous and frivolous claims APPARENTLY being made by Chauncey Andre Hannibal aka 'Black."

Welp! In the words of the ORIGINAL Blackstreet... SHORTY GET DOWWWWN, GOOD LORRRD!!

Mother of Andre 3000 Passes Away

It is sad to deliver the news of Ms. Sharon Benjamin-Hodo's passing over the weekend. Sharon mothered one of our favorite ATLiens' Andre Benjamin a.k.a "Andre 3000" of the Atlanta rap duo Outkast. She was known and favored by most of the Atlanta celebrities to whom she sold real estate to and was also the founder of The Starlight Camp for underprivileged children.

As part of the Word On The Streetz News team at Hot107.9,  we all send our deepest condolences to Andre's family and may Ms. Sharon Benjamin-Hodo rest in peace.

Justin Beiber Gets Chased Down By Former NFL Player Keyshawn Johnson

Justin just can not stay out of trouble...

According to sources, Keyshawn had just left a party yesterday night in Calabasas with his child in the car. Then out of no where, Jusin Beiber speeds pass in his Ferrari through their exclusive gated community.

Apparently Johnson felt Justin was going way too fast and could've hurt someone, let alone him or his child as they were in fact in the drive way. Sources say Keyshawn took his child inside the house then hopped in his Prius to chase Justin's Ferrari towards his house. Once he got to Justin's crib, he blocked Justin's Ferrari in the driveway and got out of his car to confront Justin face-to-face.

Two nosey neighbor's called the police and not long after, cops pulled up to Justin's house.

More sources say SEVERAL people witnessed Justin's speeding and told Sheriff's deputies Bieber appeared stoned at the time.

 

Guess let's wait to hear from Bieber's camp...

Last night Beyonce did a show in Copenhagen where for second she had to pause because she was interupted by a fan getting a little too excited and proceeding to her smacking on the ass. She stopped singing for a second to "check" the fan by saying "I will have you escorted out of here now".

Miguel Rants On Twitter About Black People Being Too Judgemental

All of that heat about Miguel's "drop kick" must have cooked up his temper as he tweeted his opinion on "black people being the most judgemental".

Miguel took to twitter and ranted about how judgemental black people are. Every since his miscalculated leap across stage at the Billboard Music Awards, Miguels name has been all over the net and media based off his shocking performance as he proceeded to leap across stage but fell short and came down on a female audience members head.

 Now, the singer is taking talking back and expressing his feelings via twitter. Check out the tweets below.

I mean, I feel him on how much "our people" like to point at everyone else other than ourselves but come on now Miguel, loosen up. You will possibly never be able to live this performance down. Lil Mo' Comes At Keyshia Cole With 'Diss T-Shirts'

Lil Mo created her own t-shirt line aimed at fellow R&B singer Keyshia Cole, based off Keyshia's outlandish tweets lately about Beyonce and other artists.

A couple months ago, Lil Mo did an interview with HipHopHollywood where the R&B vet expressed her opinions on the ill comment Keyshia Cole shot towards Bey, in regards to her single "Bow Down". Cole tweeted saying:

"First women need to stick together" now bitches better Bow. Smh. But it's all G! Chicks stay shooting the sh--. But when I speak my mind its a prob. #Well #StayMad.”

In the interview, Lil Mo responded telling Keyshia Cole to "sit down and get off twitter" in addition to her now famous line from the the interview, "Who is your publicist?".

Chris Brown and Karrueche Get Into A Car Accident

Chris Brown seems to be having quite a streak of bad luck lately.

Yesterday out in, Chris was involved in a car accident with his now again boo Karrueche Tran riding passenger. The two were headed to a music studio out in Beverly Hills when Chris rear ended his white Range Rover into the back of a Mercedes sedan at a traffic light. Chris and the female driver of the Mercedes exchanged information and luckily no one was hurt in the incident.

Now doesn't this sound familiar. Kind of like the time Chris slammed his Porsche 911 into a wall with his ex-flame Rihanna was riding shotgun back in February.

Cee-Lo Green Announces Release of New Goodie Mob Album

Sunday night, after presenting Justin Beiber with the "Milestone Award" at the Billboard Music Awards, Cee-Lo ran into Billboard Magazine backstage, where he announced Goodie Mob's Age Against the Machine album set to release later this summer, August 27.

This is AWESOME news for us fans who have been awaiting new music from the Goodie Mob members Cee-Lo, Khujo, T-Mo, and Big Gipp!

Furthermore, Cee-Lo will be returning to NBC's "The Voice", recording a brand new solo project with Gnarles Barkley, and a HIGHLY anticipated collab with Janelle Monae for her new album The Electric Lady.

Chris Brown Receives Death Threats

As if this man isn't going through enough these days, now they're threatening his life??

According to TMZ , the LAPD  is currently investigating death threats made against Chris Brown.

Sources say that multiple threats were called into Mark Geragos office, who is Chris Brown's attorney. He told that the caller threatened Chris' life. However, it is unclear as to what, if any, specific threats were made.

Geragos took the threats very seriously and immediately reported them to the LAPD, giving them all the information he had on the calls, he also filled out a report and the LAPD are currently investigating.

I wonder if this has anything to do with him hanging out with Suge Knight last week ...

[PERFORMANCE RECAP] 2013 Billboard Music Awards

Last night ABC presented the 2013 Billboard Music Awards live from the MGM Grand in Vegas hosted by comedian Tracy Morgan!

Let's jump into the performances while most of them had some type of "futuristic-space" theme.
The opening performance came from the talented Bruno Mars with  "Treasure You". With him and his band dressed in all red tux's, the performance come off great with a lot of flashy lights and gold disco balls giving that Micheal Jackson "Rock With You" theme. Bruno even had his hair combed out in that curly short box fro just like the brown skin Micheal did. Selena Gomez performed her breakout song "Come and Get It" and unlike the title of that song,she stayed true to her youthful image dressed in costume as a golden baby goddess with barefeet.



The newest pop sensation Icona Pop performed the upbeat girl anthem "I love it".

Then all of a sudden Chris Brown is presented and it appears that everything else is in attendance but his voice. Breezy performed "Fine China" with a voice so squeaky and broken, ABC was dead wrong for not cueing to commercial. However, he killed his dance moves but you would think after that singing he'd better!

The cutie Hayden Panettierre introduced the Seattle based rapper Macklemore as he performed his hit song "Thrift Shop" dressed in one of his famous crazy themed coats. Taylor Swift debuted and performed her new single "22" which was probably one of my favorite performances for the night ONLY because she Beefed it up! (LOL)


Now we all know this show had been presented live, so let's get into Miguel's performance. The sexy soulful sounds of Miguel crooned through the televsion and his performance is going great. Then suddenly he attempts this "mosh-pit" leap and lands dead balls first onto this poor girls head! The girl disappears, then there's this random lady who I assumed to be the poor girl's mother because she gave Miguel a look like she wanted to pull his permed hair right out of his skull. But then he puts his arm around her and proceeds to finish his failed performance. By the end of his performance. I had totally forgotten about Chris Brown and that crying cat he brought on stage.



Ed Sheeran (who many did not seem to know according to twitter) performed one of my favorite songs "Love You Better". Don't sleep, this song is a HEAVY rotator in my playlist.

Moving on to J.Lo's HOT & SPICY performance with Pitbull. Jenny showed out in a glitzy red leotard suit with flamboyant fuex fur red sleeves and thigh high red boots to match. Oh yes, she still rocked a nice "bum" that she DEFINITELY twerked!

Nicki Minaj rocked a gold spiked cropped jacket in her performance with Lil Wayne for single "High School". However, her bodacious booty pads stole the performance as she blessed Wayne with yet another lapdance. Twerk!

Last and MOST DEFINITELY not least, the Icon himself Prince gave a musically royal performance for "Let's Go Crazy"  in a lime green jump suit and a leather fringed sleeve jacket (Only Prince chile). The Music Powerhouse lit up the stage and received a standing ovation before receiving the Icon Award, presented by Erykah Badu and Jonelle Monae.

Overall, the 2013 Billboard Music Awards turned into one BIG MUSIC FEST! Now my arm aches from all that fist pumping...
