T.I. Confirms Yo Gotti Signing To Grand Hustle

Grand Hustle is adding more fire to their roster!

For the up and coming compilation album, T.I. confirms in an interview with VladTV.com that the North Memphis "Tenn-a-Key" emcee Yo Gotti has signed with the label and will be joining Hustle Gang.

T.I. also revealed other artists he's looking to sign such as Brooklyn rapper Uncle Murda and Manio.

Aside from T.I. and now Yo Gotti, the Hustle Gang roster for the album includes Killer Mike, Trae the Truth, Travi$ Scott, B.O.B, and more.

The highly anticipated comp album is set to hit the streets later this year. Meanwhile, download the FIRE mixtape G.D.O.D. (Get Doe Or Die).

[DETAILS] Lil Snupe's Murder Suspect Turns Himself In

As you know, last week rapper Lil Snupe (Addarren Ross) died after being  shot twice in the chest over a bet stemming from a video game.

Lil Snupe was signed to MMG rapper Meek Mill's Dream Chaser Records and the youngin was definitely on his way to stardom. He was also very respected as a young lyricists by quite a few big hip-hop names today.



Tony D. Holden, the man accused of killing Lil Snupe, turned himself in yesterday (Wednesday) morning at about 10am to the Winnfield Police Dept.

(That was his best bet I'm SURE)

The 36 year old bitch was arrested and booked in Winnfield City jail on 1st degree murder, armed robbery, and illegal possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Holden has also had past offenses related to rape, kidnapping, and batter.

Smh ...

Lil Snupe will be laid to rest this coming Saturday morning at Jonesboro-Hodge High School in LA where his service will also be held.

This case is just extremely heartbreaking and equally nugatory as this 18-year TALENTED boy now has his life taken away over something as small as a video game bet. It's time we begin to take life a lot EASIER instead of so serious because we end up getting worthless results such as this.

[DETAILS] Tupac's Music Set For Broadway Play

Tupac in a Broadway musical! Well kind of ...

 

 

According to Rolling Stone, the late great rapper's songs are set to be featured in an upcoming Broadway musical titled  Holler If Ya Hear Me.

 

The musical is based on two childhood friends in a fictional Midwestern industrial city setting who are in conflict with struggle, trying to make their dreams a reality.

 

 

Director Kenny Leon whose credits tie to Raisin In The Sun and Fences told Broadway.com:

 

"Tupac was a prophet and I want everyone to see that. [Holler if Ya Hear Me] is a present-day musical using all of Tupac's music, but Tupac is not a character in the musical."

 

To make it all the more interesting, Tupac's mother Afeni Shakur will be in production of the play which is currently in the works set to premeire this 2013-14 Broadway season.

Numbers For J. Cole's Born Sinner & Kanye's Yeezus

And the numbers are in !

The album sales race between Kanye West's Yeezus and J. Cole's Born Sinner came down close to the wire. With J. Cole's album projected to win hip-hop's June 18th battle due to new favortism via social media, Kanye's final numbers tallied up to 328,800 units sold on his sixth album, besting Cole's sophmore project which moved 297,922 units.

With Ye's album leaking just shy of a few days before it hit the stores and Cole's latest leaking more than a week before his official date, I'm pretty sure this might have decreased his numbers on the 18th.

During his visit to RapFix live, J. Cole had this to say:

"I could've left it right where I was and just gone head-to-head with Wale and seen what happened there. I would've had a much better chance, but it wasn't about the sales.

That would be a nice bonus, but it's more about the statement, [and putting] my name in the conversation. I'ma throw my name in the hat.

This is art, and I can't compete against the Kanye West celebrity and the status that he's earned just from being a genius. But I can put my name in the hat and tell you that I think my album is great and you be the judge and you decide."

Even though Cole's album was moved up a week to compete with Kanye and he ended up coming in 2nd, he still made some major gains with a 26% increase in his sales over the sales off his first album Cole World: The Sideline Story.

On the other hand, Kanye fell short of his projected 360-380K units, marking his lowest first-week sales performance since his 2004 album The College Dropout which was his all time lowest moving 441,000 units. However, Ye' still landed his fifth No.1 album on the Billboard 200.

Both albums are of course in heavy rotation on play lists today and are receiving great reviews from the streets. In my opinion the great reviews are similar but vary in style of course with Kanye's dubbed as "GothHop" with much controversial curves thrown and him pretty much saying whatever the fuck he wants. J. Cole's album is much more of a "verbal powerhouse" with a lot of self-emptying and truth telling.

[VIDEO] Wale feat. Nicki Minaj & Juicy J "Clappers" (Behind The Scenes)

Last week Wale released the twerk smash "Clappers" featuring Nicki Minaj and Juicy J off his album The Gifted, in stores TODAY by the way!

I've got the behind-the-scenes footage of the three kickin' it on set of video "Clappers", directed by Benny Boom, as they throw back bottles of MYX which is Nicki Minaj's fruit-infused moscato wine beverage (part owning with Mona Scott-Young).

 Nicki must have had a few of them as she becomes extra giggly clowning with Wale and Juicy J, she even gets to twerking on set and in the video!

Looks like they all had a lot of fun shooting with eachother, cracking jokes, and commenting on some of the playback scenes.

Tupac Shakur Earns His Star On The Walk of Fame

Yes finally, Tupac officially gets his stamp! Earning his own Walk of Fame star in Hollywood as the fourth rapper in history plated.

Due to a petition that earned well of 31,000 signatures, the legendary Tupac Shakur will have his star next year (2014) alongside  Sally Field, Orlando Bloom and Liam Neeson, according to NewsOne.

This is really a HUGE moment in Hip-Hop as this has been a discussion and a want for all of Pac's fans since his death. Now Tupac will definitely long live the streets of Cali as he continues to be a legend of our music.

[UPDATE] Chris Brown FALSELY Accused of Assaulting A Girl In Nightclub

*Update* See! I knew something sounded fishy about this story.

Now according to the owner of the nightclub where Chris had been accused, Deanna Gines is full of SH!T !

Here's the updated report from that night:

Chris Brown’s female accuser is full of it … so says the owner of the nightclub where the singer allegedly assaulted the woman — in fact, the owner tells TMZ, CB never even touched her.

The owner of Heat Ultra Lounge in Anaheim tells us, “Based on the information which we have gathered from our security company, mall security, and other party goers which were at HEAT on Saturday night; It is apparent that the alleged incident regarding Chris Brown is false.”

The owner says 24-year-old Deanna Gines had repeatedly tried to jump on stage during Chris’ performance at the club — and later tried to rush Chris in his roped-off VIP area.

The owner says Gines got tossed as a result of her behavior — and while being taken out, the owner says Gines took off her heels and threw them at security.

The owner says police were called to arrest Gines, but eventually let her go home with her friends.

As for any potential injuries Gines may have suffered while being kicked out, the owner simply said, “Heat staff and security did what they had to do … [Chris] was a complete gentleman.”

This is a case of "When Ratchet B!tches Attack" !

She tried to get a quick payday, but really how far did she think her LYING ASS would go with this story??

Exclusively reported, Chris Brown has been ACCUSED of badly injuring 24-year old Deanna Gines in a club out in Orange County this past weekend.

(Really Chris...Really?)

According to TMZ, Deanna Gines tells them she was in the VIP section with Chris Brown at club called Heat Ultra Lounge in Anaheim - where he had just performed.

Deanna Gines claims that when the bar was closing, Chris pushed her to the floor in such a vigorous way that she fellhard on her knees.

(Something don't sound right...)

Anywho! When Deanna went to the hospital, doctors told her she had torn ligaments in her right knee and that she may have to undergo surgery.


Yikes!

 Deanna Gines filed a police report and a rep for the Anaheim PD confirmed a report of a female filing for assault inside of a club but WOULD NOT disclose any names.

Chris Brown's rep, Nicole Perna, tells TMZ:

"I'm unaware of the incident, as is Chris' lawyer and his entire team.  He was in a great mood after Powerhouse. None of this makes sense."

More to come of this story for sure! However, I'm really hoping there's a FULL answer to this story because boy if this happens to be true, it might be over for ya boy Breezy.
